About non-woven fabric:

A magic material: nonwoven

A magic material: nonwoven

Nonwoven fabric is a fabric-like material made from long fibers, bonded together by chemical, mechanical, heat or solvent treatment. The term is used in the textile manufacturing industry to denote fabrics, such as felt, which are neither woven nor knitted. Some nonwoven materials have advantageous properties over conventional textile fabrics.

What is nonwoven

Nonwoven fabric is a fabric-like material made from staple fiber (short) and long fibers (continuous long), bonded together by chemical, mechanical, heat or solvent treatment. The term is used in the textile manufacturing industry to denote fabrics, such as felt, which are neither woven nor knitted. Some nonwoven materials typically lack sufficient strength unless densified or reinforced by a backing. In recent years, nonwovens have become an alternative to polyurethane foam.

Applications for nonwoven fabrics include: filters, absorbents, linings, shrouds, packaging materials, medical supplies, construction materials, wipes and diapers.

Type of nonwoven

There are several types of nonwoven fabric, each with different properties and applications. The most common types are made from polypropylene (PP), polyester (PET) or a mix of the two.

Polypropylene nonwovens are strong and durable, making them ideal for use in construction and automotive applications. They are also resistant to water and mildew, making them a good choice for outdoor furniture and carpeting.

Polyester nonwovens are less strong but more heat-resistant than polypropylene, making them ideal for use in heat-sealing applications. They are also less likely to pill or produce lint when used in clothing.

Nonwovens made from a mix of polypropylene and polyester offer the best properties of both materials, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.

The Many Uses of Nonwovens

Nonwovens are a versatile material that can be used for a variety of applications, from industrial to personal. Nonwovens are made from fibers that are bonded together by physical, chemical, or mechanical means. This bonding can be done by entangling the fibers with one another, by applying heat and pressure, or by using adhesives. Nonwovens can be made from natural or synthetic fibers, and they can be used in a wide range of products, including filters, absorbent materials, insulation, reinforcement fabrics, and much more.

Why is nonwoven so important

Nonwoven fabric is a fabric-like material made from long fibers, bonded together by chemical, mechanical, heat or solvent treatment. The term is used in the textile manufacturing industry to denote fabrics, such as felt, which are neither woven nor knitted. Some nonwoven materials lack sufficient strength unless densified or reinforced by a backing. In recent years, nonwovens have become an alternative to polyurethane foam.

Nonwovens are broadly defined as sheet or web structures bonded together by entangling fiber or filaments (and by perforating films) mechanically, thermally or chemically. They are flat, porous sheets that are made directly from separate fibers or from molten plastic or plastic film. They are not made by weaving or knitting and do not require converting the fibers to yarn.

About JEENOR material

Hangzhou Jeenor Industrial Co., Ltd., manufacturers and converts nonwoven materials at factories in Hangzhou-near Ningbo port and Shanghai port. The company was founded in 2008, formerly called Hangzhou Jeenor Cleaning Supply Co., Ltd.With roots in spunlace nonwovens, we began producing in 2008 on one line, expanded these two years with two additional spunlace lines, and can currently make 9,000 tons of spunlace nonwovens in widths ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 meters per year.
